DATACLOUD Your all-in-one Data Logger

Overview

Welcome to DataCloud. Nothing teaches us like experience.

Our experience with a variety of data loggers over the years has taught us that configuring or setting up the logger for the data collection has often proven to be a tedious task, requiring an elaborate understanding of not just the hardware setup, but also software and programming skills in some cases. All this meant that only a qualified engineer or a trained technician could program the logger to work with the sensor or equipment they wish to collect data from. Our experience with some other dataloggers is also that they can be cumbersome, having more features than required. This means that you would pay for features that were never utilized.

The DataCloud is our logger designed to provide reliable and accurate data for a wide variety of applications. Its reliability, ease of use and remote access features make it a perfect choice for remote applications including Hydrological systems, Environmental monitoring, Weather stations, Water Quality monitoring and Hydro-Met observations.

The DataCloud is a low power consuming device that measures, logs and controls externally connected sensors using a range of communication ports and protocols, records the data on an in-built storage while also having the capability to transmit and store the data on a cloud platform using either 4G or Iridium satellite.

The logger provides users the flexibility to scale and connect up to 32 Serial Inputs, 32 Digital inputs, 32 SDl-12 sensors, 128 Analog inputs to handle most application scenarios. This scalability is possible due to our design philosophy of letting the user choose the interface of their choice. See the configuration details inside for more information on this.

Users can connect to DataCloud using WiFi or Ethernet via a browser and configure the logger for device interface, deployment, viewing live data, modify/change settings or troubleshoot. The GUI is intuitive and present the users other features like report generation, email/alarm settings and more.

Why Choose the DataCloud

Features

Remote Assistance

The DataCloud is simple to operate using just a smart phone or a tablet with no additional tools required. The logger can be accessed remotely to provide support for checking system health, update settings, reboot etc.

Custom Solution

If you are working with Analog devices only, you can choose to have only analog interfaces as part of your package. In the future, if you might add other devices, invest in suitable interfaces only at a later date.

Browser based Dashboard

DataCloud comes pre-installed with a software that loads in your web browser, so there is no need to install any application on your device. Being browser based, it will work on any operating system.

User-Friendly
Device Configuration

This device offers a user friendly configuration process.

As in example, for Serial RS232/RS422 data strings, user can define which fields are to be extracted and designated as the data readings for transmission to the
cloud.

With remote access to the datalogger, save time and money by avoiding unnecessary and long field trips.

Invest in only what your monitoring site and devices require with the flexibility to add in the future.

No additional devices like computers or laptops are required. Will work seamlessly across most smart devices

No programming skills are required to configure the logger and the devices. The configuration is very practical and easy. Auto sync of the clock using Internet time.

ThingsBoard

IoT platform for
device management
and automation

While the DataCloud has 8GB of internal logging memory, the DataCloud also gives the user additional options for data storage:

A) Cloud Hosting

  • Sensor Cloud – SensorCloud is a data storage, visualization, and analysis platform specifically designed for sensor data. it provides users with tools to upload, store, and manage large amounts of data generated by sensors, and then visualize and analyze this data to extract meaningful insights. The platform typically supports features like high-resolution data storage, real-time data processing, and sharing capabilities, making it suitable for applications ranging from industrial monitoring to environmental sensing. SensorCloud is often utilized in industries where monitoring equipment, environmental conditions, or systems performance through sensor data is critical. Enquire for more details.

  • ThingsBoard – ThingsBoard is an open-source IoT platform that provides tools to manage, monitor, and control connected devices and applications. It integrates device management, data collection, processing, and visualization, as well as eventdriven automation for a wide range of loT solutions. With features that support multiple device connectivity protocols, real-time device state updates, and customizable dashboards, ThingsBoard enables users to create scalable and secure loT projects. It is often used in smart cities, industrial automation, energy management, and other sectors that require comprehensive loT solutions. Enquire for more details.

B) Local Hosting

  • The user can choose to have a dedicate server set up locally. The server can be configured to work seamlessly with DataCloud and store the data locally within their premises.

  • SALT can offer and set up a local server at the users premises, that will be configured to work seamlessly with DataCloud for hosting the data collected.
